Boots O’Neal

Clarendon, Texas | Four Sixes Ranch

With nearly 80 years in the saddle, Boots O’Neal has experienced and observed more changes in the way of how cattle are worked and handled than almost any other person in the business working for some of the largest ranches in Texas. O’Neal’s cowboying career began as a young boy breaking broncs with his brother, Wes O’Neal, on small spreads. He has cowboyed for the JA Ranch, Matador Ranch, and Waggoner Ranch, where he was promoted to foreman. Boots has been employed at the Four Sixes Ranch for the past 30 years, where he is involved in all phases of cattle work. He has been awarded many honors for his dedication to the cowboy way of life.
