Dr. Glenn Blodgett of Guthrie, Texas, became resident veterinarian and manager of the horse division at the Four Sixes Ranch in 1982. Under his management, the ranch earned numerous awards and distinctions, including the coveted AQHA Best Remuda Award in 1993. Blodgett became an American Quarter Horse Association director in 1991 and rose through the ranks in service to the organization and the nation’s equine industry to become AQHA president in 2015. He received the 2011 AQHA Racing Council Special Recognition Award and was inducted into the Texas Horse Racing Hall of Fame in 2015. The American Association of Equine Practitioners presented him with a Distinguished Life Member Award in 2016 for his leadership and exemplary service.
