James Herring is President and CEO of Friona Industries, one of the leading cattle-feeding operations in the world with four commercial feedlots and a one-time capacity of 290,000 head. He is past president of Texas Cattle Feeders Association and has served as a director and member of the Executive Committee of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. As head of Friona Industries, Herring has made great strides in raising the competitive position of beef by leading an innovative approach in coordinating efforts of ranchers, cattle feeders, beef processors and retailers to enhance quality and consistency of beef.
