The dream is now a reality!
Grand opening week for the Cash Family Ranch Life Learning Center took place from Oct. 13–21, 2023. Author of Hank the Cowdog, John R. Erickson, his wife Kris, and son Mark kicked off the celebration with Hank the Cowdog in concert followed by a book signing with Mr. Erickson. Throughout the week, visitors were able to get up close with native birds of prey with the South Plains Wildlife Rehabilitation Center; learn about show cattle with Bozeman Cattle; explore what makes a perfect ranch horse with NRHC Executive Director, Jim Bret Campbell and his horse, Mowgli; try their hand at roping and identifying cowboy gear with Dru and Tim Lust, and make their very own windmill with NRHC Program Manager, Lea Ann Lust. The weekend ended with a beef hot dog cookout with Raider Red Meats and Beef Loving Texan.
It was one for the books! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate.
The Cash Family Ranch Life Learning Center is free and open to the public daily during normal NRHC operating hours: Monday – Saturday 10 am – 5 pm and Sundays 1-5 pm.
