This windmill tower and water tank is used with the Improved Clipper Windmill. They were given in memory of pioneer cattleman and rancher George M. Slaughter by George M. Slaughter Jr. and his sons, George III, Don W. and Tom V.

George Morgan Slaughter (1862-1915) was the first son of Christopher Columbus Slaughter (1837-1919) and Cynthia Ann Jowell (1844-1876). George Morgan learned the cattle business from his father and managed the Lazy S and Running Water ranches. Dedication of the Slaughter round pen, windmill tower and tank was Oct. 2, 1976.
