Hank’s Hide-and-Go-Seek Race: Activity 10, Ranch Life Book 3: Ranch Wildlife

Students explore how camouflage helps animals survive in a ranch environment. After reading Chapter 8, learners participate in a hands-on activity that challenges them to locate or conceal “animals” within outdoor or classroom settings, simulating how wildlife use color, pattern, and behavior to blend into their surroundings. This activity builds observation, classification, and inferencing skills while deepening students’ understanding of adaptation and predator-prey relationships.
